I’ve been scolded before, about leaving my
books on the windowsill, exposed to the sunlight.
But, really, the windowsill-dwelling books are coping well. Because, one, sunlight is relatively rare. And, two, the layers of grime on my windows (composed of billions of car-exhaust-fumes-particles) undoubtedly function as a high-protection UV filter.

Books-and-(tempered)- light obviously remain one of my
favourite photo-subjects, especially now that I am testing a new camera. One that should be
better at capturing the “aquatic” quality of indirect late afternoon light.
Books swimming in light. And me in my element.
That's worth a double exposure!

lovely reflections, f...the tree of knowledge, the tree of life.
thanks K., so this time no scolding? :-)
scolding?
don't get you, fff.
in a comment on a previous post about books-on-windowsills you rightly pointed out how bad direct sunlight is for precious books!

but, dear fff, I've only said "i'm not sure if I agree with you"..that's not scolding you (but apologies if it came across like that)
Best,
b.
a vèry gentle remark indeed .... :-)
but you know, the merest hint of disapproval is enough to get me on a guilt-trip about mistreating my books!
do keep well
